ABOUT THE APEX ACADEMY

OUR STORY

Most self-defense schools train in lab conditions—clean gyms, padded floors, and predictable drills. But real violence doesn’t happen under perfect lights. It happens in chaos—outside, at night, in the cold, when you're tired, outnumbered, or not ready. That’s why we built Apex to be different.

At Apex, we train outdoors. In real environments, under real pressure, and in conditions that mirror the unpredictability of real life. Because if you want to stay calm and respond when it counts, you have to train where it counts.

We also understand something most systems ignore: people don’t have years to master theory. Life is busy. Time is short. So every workshop we run is focused on one thing—giving you maximum value in minimum time. One workshop equals one skill. Knife threats. Gun disarms. Escapes. Striking. You come in with curiosity, and you leave with something useful—something you can remember, and use under pressure.

There are no belts here. No fluff. No long lectures. Just real tools, taught in real time, built for the real world.

WHO IS GLEB.A

My name is Gleb, and I’m the founder of Apex.

By day, I work as a physical education teacher, helping shape the next generation—building them stronger, more aware, and more confident. But my mission doesn’t stop in the schoolyard.

For over a decade, I’ve been training, coaching, and testing everything I teach. I’ve studied under some of the best in the world, including Itay Gil, and earned my black belt under Gadi Skornik—a true master in Israeli combat systems.

But titles don’t matter. Performance does.I’m not a guru. I’m a lifelong student.A practitioner. A coach who shares what he’s tested, refined, and learned under pressure.

That’s why I created Apex—to offer something real.Training that actually prepares you for the unexpected. For the uncomfortable. For the fight you never planned for.

My passion is helping people become stronger—not just physically, but mentally. I believe in simple, honest training. No fluff. No ego. Just skill, movement, and mindset that hold up when things go sideways.

Whether it’s a teenager in school or an adult who’s never thrown a punch, I want people to walk away from Apex with something they didn’t have before: strength, awareness, and the belief that they can handle what life throws at them.

Because giving up is not an option.

OUR MINDSET

We don’t teach self-defense as a sport. We don’t believe in belts, rituals, or chasing perfection. At Apex, we prepare for the moment no one sees coming — when control slips away and instinct takes over. That moment isn’t clean. It’s not measured. It’s fast. Chaotic. Real.

Our philosophy is simple: every person deserves to know what to do when it matters most. Not someday — but today. Not after years of training — but after one clear lesson. We believe self-defense should be practical. Built for the street, not the mat. It should be accessible to people who don’t have time for weekly classes, who don’t want to fight — but refuse to be a victim.

We train for clarity under pressure. We teach skills that work when fear kicks in. And we shape mindsets that choose action over panic. This isn’t a path to a black belt. It’s a return to something more honest: the right to walk without fear, the ability to protect what matters, and the confidence to meet chaos with calm.

Welcome to Apex. Self-defense, made real.
